Support Groups for Caregivers Who Are Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
Unfortunately, sexual abuse can be a generational issue which means that some of the caregivers you are supporting may be survivors themselves. It is valuable to ascertain if participants in your caregiver programs are survivors so that you can provide referrals to additional resources as necessary
I encourage adult survivors to participate in individual therapy as well as consider joining a support group specifically for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Here are some organizations that provide a network of support groups and other resources for adult survivors:
