With Your Help We Can Save Lives
Child sexual abuse is a global health issue with dramatic impacts medically, socially, and economically. Victims have described their lives after abuse as “a slow death.” This global pandemic is cutting life expectancies by 20 years, increasing teenage pregnancies, prostitution, drug and alcohol use, prison population, skyrocketing health care costs, and so much more. Proper and effective healing following a traumatic childhood experience like sexual abuse has been likened to delivering a cure to a patient with a terminal illness. Studies show dramatic health improvements following a victim simply talking about their abuse. Even better, proper education and community involvement to prevent an incident of sexual abuse is like administering a vaccine for that same terminal illness.

We can do this! Cures exist but are not getting to victims. The vaccine is out there but not being administered within communities around the world. TAALK is the global voice for the child sexual abuse cause, the agent of change, the delivery platform for the cure.

Diane Cranley, Host of the TAALK-a-Thon
I am Diane Cranley, Founder and President of TAALK, a US-based, federally approved 501©(3) non-profit organization with a core belief that child sexual abuse is predictable, preventable, and we all play a part in the solution. TAALK is an acronym for Talk About Abuse to Liberate Kids. The TAALK dream is to eliminate child sexual abuse in communities around the world. Until then, TAALK will vigilantly carry out its mission to reduce children’s vulnerability to child sexual abuse and to support survivors through the healing process.

On January 18, 2007, the voice and courage of one little girl changed the world…
That was the day my youngest daughter disclosed she was being sexually abused by my ex-husband. That was the day that we finally understood why her older sister had been struggling with her health, concentration and school grades for years. That was the day, after 33 years, that I realized I was not alone and that I could finally talk about my own abuse at the hands of a modeling teacher. That was the day we began our search for other victims of my daughters’ perpetrator and found others he had abused and many more he was grooming. That was the day we began to see our life’s work; a mission to save past, present and future victims of child sexual abuse; a mission to touch the lives and connect millions of people around the world who have been victimized and impacted by this horrible pandemic. It's a blessing to have been called to serve children and adult victims around the world.
