TAALK Programs
TAALK has designed a comprehensive set of awareness, education and support programs that can be delivered to the community by the community. Contact us to understand which programs are available in your area or if you would like to be trained to deliver them.
Awareness Programs TAALK Today is a nationwide network of people who are committed to spreading the word about the sexual abuse epidemic and personally inviting their family, friends and acquaintances to join the movement. The members encourage people to talk to someone about child sexual abuse on a daily basis in an effort to break the silence that surrounds it. This will raise awareness of the epidemic, and in the process, save past, present and future victims.
TAALK Together is a community coalition of members who work together to raise awareness of the child sexual abuse epidemic and educate other citizens within their community to better protect children. TAALK will facilitate introductions between program members in the same community, provide a replication plan for program expansion, and train key members to deliver courses from our TAALK Prevention portfolio. TAALK for You is a program designed to help communities raise awareness of the child sexual abuse epidemic and educate the public to take action to protect children. TAALK will provide speakers for your events including conferences, networking meetings, teacher in-service training, volunteer training, parent organization meetings, etc. TAALK Tips is a daily e-mail designed to educate adults to prevent and recognize child sexual abuse and take proactive steps to protect children. The TAALK Tips e-mail series is a convenient way for adults to learn new behaviors that will significantly lower the risk of abuse and the daily delivery is the best way to keep these newly formed behaviors top-of-mind until they become habit. Support Programs TAALKing is Power is a nationwide support group infrastructure for adult survivors, non-offending parents and partners of survivors. TAALK has developed guidelines which allow community coalitions to establish local meetings throughout the country to support direct and indirect victims of child sexual abuse. We help survivors and their partners recognize how child sexual abuse has impacted their lives, and support and motivate them to move through the healing process. We support non-offending parents through the disclosure and reporting process and into the future as they help their children recover from the affects of the abuse. |
